ControlPoint has a clear and straightforward Graphical User Interface (GUI) to facilitate the creation and submission of “Data Repository” ingestion tasks. When the initial ingestion tasks have completed, each repository can be further “Analysed” and explored.

The data ingestion process consists of several distinct stages as outlined below;

The above technical architecture provides a highly scalable and flexible mechanism that facilitates the ingestion of documents from multiple distributed data repositories.

Although, identifying the status of any given ingestion task (given that several tasks may be executing at any given moment)  can be time consuming and complex.

StoreXltd has developed a Microsoft Windows Application, that automatically discovers and retrieves the current operational status of each task within the Ingestion process. The collected information is graphically displayed and updated in real-time, providing a “Single Window” that details the operational status of each process, a break-down on what ingestion tasks are currently executing and the amount of processor time being consumed by each ControlPoint service.

Hovering over the “Processing” field, automatically provides a break-down of the documents currently being ingested.

The Ingestion Monitoring application also provides the user with the ability to select and submit “Incremental” ingestions whilst also “Monitoring” the status and restart any of the ControlPoint services.
